I reached over and took both shots, getting them ready to be put into a needle. Elise gave me a smirk. She wasn’t surprised that I knew how to give a shot. “Should I even bother to ask?” She made fun.
“We ran away from home for more than two years. We all learned how to take care of each other, including how to give each other the right medical care.”
