Chapter 101. Beaten

Caius’s POV

“Enough, Caius! I told you not to make threats against the people I care about. “Take charge, or I’ll make you.” Elise’s eyes had a little more silver in them, but it was clear that her pain was getting worse.

I cried out when I felt her pain and put my forehead against hers. “Please, baby, I’ll lose control if other people see us together. I can hardly keep going as it is.”

Elise smiled at me and shook her head at how possessive I was being. “Fine! Please leave Kalix and Maya. I promise Caius that he won’t hurt me, and I’m fine. I just need to clean up and get some sleep.”

Kalix nodded, took his bag from the floor, and put it on the bed. “I took some things from the hospital. I didn’t know what you’d need, but this should help. If the pain gets too bad, there are a few more of the Wolfspain pills. If you need anything, just give me a call.” He kissed her on the cheek, which made my wolf growl again. She is never touched.
