Chris’s POV

As Owen led Elise into the grand hall, he had his arm around hers.

It was a beige and silver ballroom with a lot of class. Every wolf greeted them with admiration and could feel her Luna power coming from her.

Caius sat with one leg crossed over the other at the top of the stage and watched her every move. As soon as she walked into the room, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He made a low growl when Owen was close to her, but only I was close enough to hear it.

I rolled my eyes and walked off the stage to go to the bar. I couldn’t make it through the night without a drink. As Kalix walked toward me, he tipped his glass. He looked at Elise for a second, amazed by how beautiful she was.
