Chapter 53. Golden Eye

 Kalix’s POV

I just stood there and watched Chris go wild on my behind. He liked to pick on other people, but he couldn't take it. His eyes were black, and saliva was dripping from his teeth, which were only a few inches away from me.

Then gold started to show up until these thin ribbons started to swirl around and try to take over. I've never seen a wolf with any color in their wolf eyes before, only black. I didn't know what the word "gold” meant, but I now know that what I thought before was right. Something about this family was different.
