Liam’s POV

I lazily looked at the piles of papers in Suresh’s office.

Where is that girl again? He’s practicing…

I just sighed and walked over to Séance’s swivel chair to take care of the work she left for me.

I just read them and changed the approved to rejected so she wouldn’t have any more trouble. Her signature is all that is missing from the company’s new project proposal.

I looked at the photo of Uncle Reden on the other table. I smiled bitterly.

“Can you see your princess now? I didn’t think she would reach the point where she would discover the underground organization. I’m sorry if I didn’t fulfill my promise to protect her. I thought she was safe in Theo’s hands, but she’s not. I’ve been too complacent. Let it go, Uncle. I’ll guide her to my death and keep her safe,” I said before turning my attention back to the papers.
