Chapter 23

Serene’s POV

I’m at the nearby cafe in my company to see some investors from another country. It’s been two days since I got out of the hospital. Ardin and Liam didn’t want me to work, but they didn’t do anything because I was so naughty.

I don’t want to stay at the mansion because Baby Mikael isn’t there; I’ll only be sadder when I’m at home. I sent Nanny to Boracay so that Felize wouldn’t have a hard time taking care of my son.

I hired our old maids again so that I am not alone at home. I don’t even know when Mama Matilda and my sister came back.

Theo is in the mental hospital. That would be better for him to heal, and I might kill him if he shows up for me.

“Hi, Miss Chua.”

I looked at the person who greeted me and stood up when I recognized him.

“Hi, Mr. Smith,” I said, greeting him and shaking his hand.

He smiled.

“Have a seat, please.” I asked to sit down.

He sat down.
