Serene’s POV

“Hi, Nanny, where’s my baby?” I asked

“He’s in his room, fast asleep,” she answered.

I nodded before walking up the stairs.

“I’ll bring you some hot milk there,” I heard her say before I got away.

I went straight to his room, and when I grabbed the doorknob, it wasn’t closed, so I immediately got nervous. I quickly opened it and saw Thel. His eyes were glaring at the child, and I saw that he was about to strangle Baby Mikael. I quickly ran to them and pushed him with all my might. He fell to the floor because of the shock. I immediately took Baby Mikael to carry. We got away from Theo, who now looks at us badly.

“That child is mine,” he ordered firmly.

“No,” I stubbornly protested, and I hugged the boy tightly.

“It’s because of that child that our life has become like this. Because of them and his missing mother, both of us have been destroyed. That’s not my child. You cheated on me!” he shouted.
