Serene’s POV

I reached my office early. I really meant to finish everything I had to finish. When I opened the door, I saw a man sitting on the sofa. His back was turned to me. I immediately frowned. I don’t expect any visitors today. Who could this be?

“Excuse me? Who are you?” I asked, taking two steps before stopping.

He stood up and adjusted his suit before facing me with a smile on his face. I was a little surprised to see Mr. Sy’s second child.

The one who saved me Actually, I’m not sure if it’s really him. Because the person who saved me was wearing a mask. But, based on his reaction and what he said, I’m a bit convinced.

I was thankful that he saved me, but at the same time, I was counted with every look he gave. I feel like I have dirt on my face or whatever kind of deficiency he sees in me.

“Good morning, Arriana,” he greeted.

“Good morning, Mr. Christopher,” I said as I walked to my table and placed my bag on the table.
