Chapter 144. We Really Need to Talk
They grabbed her, and she shifted away from them.
“Hey,” she yelled at the Leopard Seal, wishing for the umpteenth time that she knew his name. “Come back,” she yelled. “We really need to talk.”
She struggled against the men who were trying to restrain her, but it was futile. They lifted her away from the media room, kicking and screaming. After that, life in the Leopard Seal’s house became as awful as in the first days. They placed a device around her ankle that kept her from going beyond her room. She ate in the room, and since there was a bathroom inside, she did not need to leave it for anything.
The computers she used to work were taken away from her, which meant she could no longer continue her investigation concerning the Del Rosas. The books were taken from her, and in two days alone, she was going mad. No one came to see her—not the Leopard Seal, not the doctor, not Dahlia, not Mama, not even Bill.
