Chapter 291. Turmoil

Carlos headed straight to his home. He crashed into the shelf in the foyer, very much out of it. He’d cursed the Man in Black over and over again in his mind. So much for do not let the enemy control your emotions.

He stumbled to his room and sat on the bed with his head in his hands. He couldn’t formulate a single coherent thought. The Man in Black was his father. No, the Man in Black had told him that he was his father.

Carlos was so sick and tired of guessing at what was true and what wasn’t, he would believe that only after he got some sort of confirmation that the Man in Black was his father. Something like a DNA test. That was the only thing that would make him believe even for a second that the Man in Black was his father. Until he got such confirmation he would pretend he never heard anything like that from the Man in Black.

It was better for his sanity after all.
