Chapter 17

Derrick's POV

I could not sleep all night. I tossed and turned and at the crack of dawn, I had eye bags the size of lemons dropping from my eyelids.

There was no time to waste for me, I needed to get to Pandora and stop her from leaving with Rolan. The jealousy I felt was so great that I could feel it gnawing at me from my insides. 

“Are you ready?” I asked the three guards I was stepping out with. 

“Yes boss” they chorused. 

By the time we drove to Pandora's house, she was standing outside with her parents and her best friend. I got out of my car as soon as it came to a halt and rushed to where Pandora was standing. 

When our eyes met, my heart did a flip and my wolf howled in happiness. 

I tried to control my emotions, but as soon as Pandora's scent hit my nose, I immediately gathered her into my arms. I felt the most peaceful and realized just how much power the mate has in their partner's life.&n
