Derrick's POV

I was having one of the most agonizing days of my life when I heard a loud knock on my door. 

Since my altercation with Pandora and her family a few hours ago, I have not been able to piece myself back together. My heart was broken, and I couldn't seem to console my wolf. 

He was not talking to me and has been gnawing in pain ever since. The physical wounds inflicted by Rolan weren't nearly as painful as the ripping pain that was shooting through my body. 

I felt like I was going crazy and if I did not get to be with Pandora soon, I was going to lose my mind. She looked so happy and didn't even mind that I had rejected her. I felt bad that I somehow wanted to have seen her beg me to be with her. 

I shook my head sadly. She was already my mate, I didn't have to do all that to her.
