Pandora's POV

I opened my eyes hazily, one side of my face was red and swollen. I was in a lot of pain, and I hadn't stopped bleeding slightly since the time one of Uncle Joe's men kicked my belly. I already marked his face and was waiting patiently for the right time to rip his head off. I held back the tears that were threatening to fall for the umpteenth time. 

Funny thing was that I had genuinely liked Uncle Joe and had even pleaded with Grey, even blackmailing him, just so he could spare his life. 

It had worked and now I had to pay for it. If only I let Griffin carry out Rolan's order to drown him, I would not have been in this situation today. I blinked back the tears more furiously, as I did not want Uncle Joe to see me weak.
