Chapter 55

Pandora's POV

I was worried that I had not seen or heard from Wilson or Ashley after they both rushed out of my room yesterday. I had only seen Mrs. Edna and she seemed slightly different. 

Even the conversations I had with her were a bit stiff, and she seemed to be rushing to go somewhere. 

She had snapped at me when I asked what the problem was, and I just figured that it might be a bad day for her. I kept my mouth tightly sealed until she stormed off soon after. 

I tried to reach Ashley and Wilson to find out if everything was okay with Mrs. Edna but their lines both went straight to voicemail. I simply shrugged and tried to sleep. 

While I slept, I had a dream that Wilson was eating my children from my stomach, he had the dead one's umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and his paw dug into my intestines. I woke up with a start to find Wilson's gray eyes staring at me intently.
