Chapter 157. Extra Hand

Harlan’s POV

Walking past the velvet curtains, I always get this weird eerie feeling about this place. Logan walks in front of me, and in front of him is Uncle Jack, leading the way.

“Have a seat, I’ll go make some calls.”

Uncle Jack motions for the two chairs in front of his desk. He grabs a phone from his desk drawer and walks out of the room.

I turn my eyes to Logan and he goes over to take a seat. Begrudgingly, I go and follow him. Sitting inside Uncle Jack’s office in his club, we’re both silent and lost in thoughts. Logan’s tapping his feet and that’s his nervous habit.

Some time has passed and Uncle Jack hasn’t returned yet. I’m growing more and more antsy as time goes by. Savannah could be in danger right now. Are we just gonna waste our time sitting in here?
