Chapter 19. The Silver Bullet

Savannah’s POV

“Nobody moves!” Derek yells, moving his gun toward Logan.

Logan doesn’t even flinch. If I don’t know any better, it seems like he’s enjoying this. His lips curve into a smirk as he looks at Derek challengingly and says, “Or what?”

Aiming the gun straight at Logan’s head, Derek clenches his teeth and says, “I’ll put a silver bullet to your skull.”

Gulp. I can’t help but swallow hard. A silver bullet can kill any werewolf. I would be scared too. But again, Logan lets out a chuckle and says, “You can try.”

Holy cow. I can feel the tension rising so thick in this room. I can barely breathe! And yet, Harlan and Logan aren’t fazed at all. Logan glances at his brother and says with his eyes, “On three.”

Harlan nods, “Three.”

“Two.”

“One.”

The next thing I know, they both transform into their wolves. Logan steps in front of us as Harlan covers me with his great, white fur.
