Chapter 81. The Broken Spell

Savannah’s POV

Logan turns the tap on and warm water begins filling the tub. Meanwhile, Harlan slowly and carefully removes my clothes. I stand there in silence as I’m stripped naked and I see all the bruises and marks all over my body. I guess I didn’t know just how bad it got until I’m seeing it now.

“C’mere,” Harlan says as he gives his hand out to me.

I take his hand and the touch itself sends a warm energy to my body. Slowly, I get into the tub and lie down as the water envelopes my skin. The water is nice and warm. I immediately feel relaxed and it’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Harlan keeps one hand on my hand while the other touches the water in that tub. The water gets warmer and warmer until it now feels kind of hot. My breathing is labored at first, but slowly, I start to calm down. I feel some strong energy covering me from deep within, and all that pain is steadily going away.

“Close your eyes,” Harlan says again.<
