Emma’s POV

“Why are you suddenly asking me that?” I asked.

“I just want to know. You once came to me before, saying you wanted Brian all for yourself and now you are saying you don’t want him and that you are going to help the two of us to stay together but I am beginning to doubt that,” she said.

“Now let’s make one thing clear, Nina, I don’t like nor do I love Brian and you can be assured that he loves you.”

“So tell me what do you really feel for him?”

“Nothing, okay? What I feel for Brian is nothing. To me he is someone who I made a deal with and I am sure that he thinks of me the same way.”

“Is that really true?” she asked.

“Yes, it is, you can doubt me but don’t doubt Brian. If he is being considerate toward me, it’s only because of you, he rubs it in my face all the time, the only one he loves is you,” I said.
