Chapter 16

Hazel’s POV

Soft breeze touched my cheeks, chirping of birds could be heard in distance. Opening my eyes, I was blinded by immense light streaming in through opened, large window on my right. Confused, I blinked slowly before looking around the room. A large settee in front covered the whole wall, a small door on my right and few floral decorations all around the room, soft pink walls with large portraits.

Pushing against the mattresses under me I pushed myself up. A hiss escaped my lips as I felt slight pain on my side. Frowning, I moved the fluffy white sheets and gasped.

White bandages were wrapped around my torso. Moving the sheets further, my gaze followed down when I noticed more bandages wrapped around my arms and chest. Panicked with sudden revelation, I swung my legs over the side of the bed, I stood up with a groan. Taking an unsteady deep breath, I managed to look down completely at myself.
