Hazel’s POV

Reaching down, he slid his fingers over my jaw and brought his lips back down to mine. The kiss deepened as our lips danced together. I could not resist any more, I was exhausted, I was only a fool to make him understand. Just like making an infant learn how to walk.

He whispered against my lips, the ethereal voice of an immortal. “Share your soul with me.”

The levity of his words shuddered throughout me, causing his hands to grip my body harder. Husband of mine pulled away with a ragged breath, our eyes held as I panted in his arms, before he brought his lips back down to mine. Immediately, I felt his sharp canines seep past my flesh and I gasped as he bit my lower lip, claiming his ownership.

I felt stir of hormones, contrite with the intrusion with welcoming any of emotions. I felt strange, it felt like a void of forming inside me.

He pulled away with a low growl, as he blinked down at me.
