Chapter 26
Hazel’s POV
Without looking at me twice, he walked away, Cassius trailing behind his back. I was too engrossed in Claus, I had forgotten about others. Theodore was fast to stabilize my fall. His arms found my back.
My thoughts were laden with realization, but it was weight I was trying to let go. There was no point in pretending to act as if everything would be alright. Did I even had a reason for playing this game rather than disappearing?
I grunted the second I realized Veles had also left, so lost in my thoughts.
“Come on, sugar. You’ve already angered one of your husbands, don’t want other to slam you against the nearest surface now, do we?” My eyes widened as I saw impatient looking Ezra standing at some distance as he scowled at me, with his arms crossed against his muscular chest. His hairs fell over his eyes, but the coldness of his eyes still manages to seep through them.
“Remind me again, why the fuck am I here?”
