Author’s POV

“He’ll be fine once he’s fully rested.”

The two brothers shared concerned gazes as their lips left a sharp deep breath and nodded their heads. The clouds rumbled with shuttering thunderstorms whilst rain drops hit the dried grounds.

Theodore heaved a deep sigh gazing at Ezra’s form as his chest moved up and down with each calming breath. Despite the fact Ezra’s face looked unsettlingly pale, the dark veins stood adamant over his forehead indicating roots of a tree.

The rigidity of his muscles had Theodore worry about him more.

“And his beast?”

“I can’t say much. Usually couples consummate their bond frenetically. Like I said earlier, your beasts will try to fasten the process. You can only control them to certain limit. Once they are set free, they’ll do anything to complete the bonding ritual. For them, she’s their mate.”
