Chapter 36

Hazel’s POV

His laughter bombarded the room. My brows creased in confusion as his hold on me loosened, the little freedom had me squirm back as my back hit the bedpost and Ezra taunted with amusement as his eyes trailed over me.

Veles threw his head back laughing.

“Did you hear her?” Veles asked, looking over his shoulder at entertained Ezra. What was so wrong with my words?

Theodore lightly giggled from behind and I scowled at him.

“Loud and clear,” Ezra mumbled, a slight tint of leisure in his voice. His blue-grey eyes held amusement.

Fear was suddenly overlapped by frustration as I narrowed my eyes at him and said.

“I’m your wife,” I reminded them. No matter how much I despised this reality, I was also the lady of the castle. I was very of their laws here but definitely knew my rights. If I wanted to escape them, I had to make sure I had power over them.

My thoughts compiled and I clenched my fists.
