“You were strict.”
“She was hungry.”
Both Veles and Theodore said at the same time. Claus clenched his jaw and palmed his fists. A fresh rush of emotion gripped his thoughts in a tight hold. His eyes narrowed on the chair she was sitting on, as he found himself getting more annoyed.
“She was being rebellious.”
Both brothers shared an unsatisfied look before Theodore placed his spoon at the side. Ezra eyed his lover noticing the plate barely empty while frowning as he glared at Claus. Cassius seemed oblivious of the exchange of glares.
“Why are acting like father? You should’ve let her eat before locking her up.” Veles smirked at Theodore’s resiliency, slowly scooping the gravy in his spoon while glancing at irritated Claus. The tension in the room thickened, Cassius watched the exchange between his brother as he tried not to interfere.
