Miller’s POV 

    “What are you talking about? What is going on?” I growled as Max shoved a glass of something in my face. It burnt like hell and caused me to fall helplessly to the ground. The next thing that I knew, I was being forced into a chair and bound by a heavy rope. My body was weak and shaky. 

    What was happening to me? 

    I looked across to Daniel for an answer, but he ignored any eye contact with me and instead held a smug look. I realised that he had tricked me. How could he do that to me? Why would he want to do that to me? It was not my fault that Mora had lied to the pair of us. Should we not be working together instead of against each other? As for Max, he was mad and wanted revenge for me, planning to kick him out of the picture. 

    If Daniel had not opened his mouth, then none of this would have happened, and I would be in top form. Max would not have stood a chance if he had not
