Chapter 51

Miller’s POV 

    I woke up to find myself in the back of the truck, my arms tied together with a rag in my mouth to prevent me from talking or making any sound. 

    I felt sick and dizzy, and my mind was blank with whatever had happened to me. 

    I remembered Ed talking to me, then nothing. I could hear voices outside, and I instantly knew who it was.

    Max and Ed. 

    I listened carefully to their conversation, trying to work out whatever they were up to. It was like a riddle. 

    I had no clue. 

    “He needs to stay the hell out of it.” I heard Max say to Ed, who sighed and grunted in response. 

    “You owe me big time, Ed and I want that girl for myself. If you want your dirty little secret to be kept and not exposed, I suggest you convince your daughter to take it.” Max was starting to growl.
