Chapter 46

Orion sat in his car for a good half-hour, staring at the blank wall in front of him. His mind was completely distracted by the image of Azalea enjoying herself with Atlas. To make matters worse, she was all dolled up, seemingly ready to seduce him. His hands tightened around the steering wheel as his breath grew shallow. He then tilted his wrist to check the time, only to realize he wasn’t wearing his watch.

“Tsk!” he clicked his tongue in annoyance. “Where did it go?” he hissed, searching around. “How could I lose it?” The color drained from his face. It was a gift he couldn’t afford to lose. “Could it be in her room? I had it until this morning, so where could it be?” he thought to himself before getting out of the car to check the hospital room where he had been. Something told him it wasn’t there, but he decided to check anyway, hoping to calm his mind.

After searching the room silently and not finding it, he was left with only one other place to look: the office. H
