Chapter 47
Sinclair wore a deep frown on her forehead, the straw of her drink hanging limply in her mouth as she rested her chin on the cup she had bought. Snow sat beside her, puzzled by her sudden mood shift.
"You haven’t spoken a word since this morning. What’s wrong?" Snow asked, trying to probe.
"I’m doomed!" Sinclair exclaimed.
"Why? Wasn’t the problem with your grades solved?" Snow inquired.
"Not that... I lied to Azalea just to get out of the marriage drama, and now she wants me to bring the man I’m in love with!" Sinclair’s face crumpled in distress.
"No way! What are you going to do now?!" Snow exclaimed.
"I have no idea," Sinclair muttered, lifting her head off the cup and taking a sip of her drink. "I feel like I’m going to end up married to Orion one way or another because there’s no way I can find true love in just two days." Frustration welled up inside her chest.
