Chapter 161. The Neighbor
AFTER almost 48 hours in custody, Albert Ripley got out of prison after paying a hefty amount of money and hastily visited Alison.
The prison guard ushered Alison into the visitation room with shackles on her hands and feet. The sound of the metal chains hitting the floor echoed in the room, sending a malevolent clang in Albert's spine. Despite her pitiful state and disheveled appearance, Albert did not feel sorrow towards her.
Soon the guard sat her in the chair in front of him with only a thick glass separating them.
"You killed Catherine. Why would you do that?" He asks.
"I got carried away. I wanted us to be together as soon as possible and when I saw her there lying unconscious with a gun near her. I thought she was already about to do it. Might as well help her." She explains without any remorse.
