Chapter 107. Rowan's Visit

While Emily waited with interest for an answer, Rowan curled up the corner of his lips. "Well, since you kids are special, there's no harm in taking a little time."

"You are indeed a kind grandfather!" Emily got off the couch and hugged Rowan's legs. "Thank you, Mr. Harper."

Everyone suddenly froze. No one expected that Emily would dare to do that, except Louis. Those two innocent children were not able to recognize enemies and threats yet.

Sean glanced at his boss. He knew that Rowan didn't like being touched and, so far, no one had ever dared to do that.

However, instead of getting orders, he found a flat expression with trembling eyeballs. After one blink, Rowan looked down at Emily's sweet face. The little girl then took his hand.

"Come here, Kind Grandfather. Sit here." She directed Rowan to a chair on the side of the bed. "We don't have many friends here. So, your presence means a lot to Louis."

Rowan sat awkwardly. His gaze accidentally met
