Chapter 127. Kneel to Apologize

"You really want to come in?" Susan pulled the door a little wider and quirked an eyebrow.

Frank's breathing grew heavier, but he could still nod. "Yes, Madam."

"Okay. Kara, wait outside."

Frank and Kara widened their eyes. They stared at each other, as if they didn't want to be separated. However, Susan's hand moved, inviting the CEO to pass the door. Like it or not, Frank stepped in.

"Thank you, Madam."

While Frank placed the package on the table, Susan closed the door. A moment later, the middle-aged woman sat on the sofa. "What do you want to talk about?"

Frank was still standing. He dare not move. Breathing alone felt wrong. "I ... would like to explain about the incident four years ago."

Susan lifted her chin. "Explain what? Isn't it obvious that you ...."

Susan couldn't finish the sentence. After a long, soft sigh, she whispered, "You think your explanation is enough to atone for your sins? Do you realize what your mistake was?"
