Chapter 46

Caring about what people thought about her had never been one of her nemeses. She didn't care, and she was proud to say it. She only cared about what Rachel and Annabella thought of her. She really needed to call them and tell them that she was okay. She didn’t know if calling them now would wake them up because she knew Rachel was supposed to be reading a bedtime story to Annabella. She checked her time and saw that she was right about that; Annabella was supposed to be half-asleep and half-listening to what Rachel was saying. She really hoped Rachel would call Lincoln and explain why she had been avoiding him. She was afraid of what her ex could do.

It was either Lincoln accepted what she said or let her go. She wasn't right in choosing for people without giving them the options they had in front of them. She had always believed that people should be allowed to decide what they wanted, not have things shoved down their throats. She really hoped things worked out with Lincoln
