Chapter 105. Dismissal

Alexus and Rafaella have been extremely busy ever since they returned to their property after Rafaella's abduction a week ago. 

"What do you mean you don't know everything about her abduction? "That was Gwen's reaction when he asked her to come to his office. 

"No," Alexus said, leaning back in his swivel chair, "I was hoping Rafa would tell you everything." 

"I'm sorry, but she didn't," Gwen replied. "And when I started mentioning her loss, she cut me off instantly, saying she didn't want to hear anything about that incident." 

Alexus let out a sigh of frustration. He thought that they were okay after coming back home. She didn't do much besides swim and eat with the twins. She avoided being alone with him, and he didn't like it. Although Rafaella never told him, losing her unborn child profoundly affected her. 

Sometimes he'd wake up with her trembling from a bad dream and feel her sobbing in his chest, but she never said a word. Avo
