Chapter 25

Aria suddenly lost consciousness and almost dropped to the floor like a log of wood, but Cole rushed to her and caught her just in time to prevent her from hitting her head.

He just held her limp self, freezing for a moment and not knowing what to do till her breathing became jagged and it occurred to him to call for help. He carried her back to his bed and laid her down gently, warming her back up with the blanket before leaving the room.

Aren had just turned in bed and wrapped his right arm around Selena when he heard a light knock on the bedroom door. He winced, not wanting to wake up but turning to the sound to be sure he heard right. He waited for another knock to come but it didn’t come immediately so he relaxed.

Just when he had fallen back asleep, he heard the knock again, sharper this time, so he opened his eyes and sat up. His eyes darted to the foot of the door and he saw someone’s feet.
