Chapter 7
They passed by and she realised they were patrolling guards from the territory she was now in.
But she didn’t know much about politics; she didn’t know which pack owned the territory she was in. When she was sure they were far gone, she continued quietly, constantly looking behind her to make sure they weren’t coming back. She was doing just that when she walked into a trap that snapped at her left foot, dislocating it and making her scream in pain.
She covered her mouth in reflex and looked around to see if anyone was coming, heart beating fast. Maya let out a slow growl inside her. When Aria saw that no one was coming, she started working on removing the trap from her dislocated legs as she whimpered in pain.
She bit her lower lip as she pulled her leg away from the trap to stop herself from screaming out in pain again. “Shit, Maya, I’m losing blood, I’m losing too much blood, what do I do?” She panicked.
