“I can’t, Alpha.” The doctor told him and got a scary look from him that made her rethink telling him that. “I can’t because I already gave her the highest recommended dose. Anything above that could bring about unwanted effects.”

“Like?” Selena probed.

“Temporary memory loss, a possible coma, and also temporary nausea and vomiting that could lead to polydipsia and subsequently, polyuria. That’s abnormal or excessive thirst and frequent urination respectively; but they only happen if she doesn’t go straight into a coma from the overdose.”

“That’s awful,” Selena murmured and looked at Cole; the final decision lay on him.

Cole was conflicted with the decision, wondering if saving Aria from the pain she was in just to meet future discomfort was worth it. Aria suddenly stopped shaking, only breathing heavily now like she was gasping for air when it was all around her.
