Chapter 92

Aren closed the door to his room and saw the sight of Selena’s back facing him. She was taking her usual afternoon siesta. He let out a silent groan. He wished she weren’t asleep, he needed someone to talk to.

Walking further into his room, he undid the buttons on his shirt slowly, sitting on the bed tiredly when he got to it. “Cole scares me.” He thought out loud. “The council may have announced me as alpha but the members of this pack still think him their alpha.”

Selena opened his eyes and saw him. She had been trying to sleep but couldn’t. She knelt behind him and snaked her arms around his torso from behind.

Aren placed his hands over hers where they coiled around him. “I’m sorry, did I wake you up?”
