Chapter 10

Just like what he usually did on a normal day at work, Zayden continued working on the last project that he was doing... specifically the one that had the nearest deadline.

In his first few minutes of working, he thought that everything was going just fine, but his thought was eventually proven wrong as he heard some whispers coming from his coworkers.

“Oh my, I heard... I heard someone saw Mr. Ford’s car in the parking lot...”

“Does that mean Mr. Ford’s going to go up here? Is... is he going to make that freaky Zayden get out of here?”

Their gossip eventually faded and was immediately replaced by silence and greetings to their boss, who had just got out of the elevator.

“Good morning, Mr. Ford...” they all greeted in unison.

As Zayden heard Kean’s footsteps approaching the office where he was, he just pretended like nothing was happening. He just continued working on what he was working at, as if Kean would not stop him any minute.
