Chapter 13

After his video call with Ram, Zayden decided to visit Ashley’s house. As he arrived at Ashley’s front door, he tried to practice what words he should say to her... but his mind could not function well because as he saw the inside of Ashley’s house from the window without curtains, memories of them suddenly came flashing back.

Zayden wanted to relive his good memories with Ashley for the last time, so he decided to enter the house without ringing the doorbell, as he still had the keys that Ashley had given him. But as he tried to fit the key into the holes of the doorknob, he realized that Ashley had already changed the doorknob, so the keys that he currently had were of no use anymore.

“Ashley...” He knocked three times.

“Ashley, please open the door.” He raised the tone of his voice and applied a little force while knocking at the door.

“Ashley, please... I’m begging you! Let me in!” His voice broke as tears started to escape his eyes. He continued knocking
