Chapter 12
For a few days, Zayden remained like that. He never had energy— he was just lying in his bed all day and night and only got up when he was already feeling dizzy because of too much hungriness. His aunt Zoila’s visits became more often as the woman felt like Zayden needed some company.
Every time Zoila visited him, she would cook for him and convince him to have a movie marathon with him. To lessen her nephew’s stress and sadness, she would always choose comedy movies. But it was not that effective because the comedy movies that she decided on involved romantic tropes. However, there were times that she would hear Zayden have a small laugh.
Throughout those days, Zoila was really worried. Her calls also became more often, and even Zayden noticed it as he told her that he would be okay and that she did not have anything to worry about.
