“You’re going to that bitch’s house... like right now?” Zoila asked Zenee on the phone. It was evident in her voice that she did not like what she had just heard.

“Yes... I need to do this. I need to know what’s going on so that I can plan what to do next...” Zenee explained.

“But they are the ones in need of help. They should be the ones who will come to you.” Zoila sighed deeply. Frustration could be felt in her voice. “That bitch asked for your help and for, what she said, the illegitimate son’s help without telling you any context... doesn’t that mean that maybe she was just messing with you? If I were you, Zen, I would stop being so gullible when it comes to them. I already know them too well...”

Zenee knew deep down that what Zoila was saying made sense. As far as she could remember, the family of that woman whom they were calling ‘bitch' was known for being tricky and greedy in everything—be it in business or personal matters. Besides, Zenee and Zoila themse
