Ashley noticed how Kean’s hands were already shaking while holding his phone to his ear, and she felt at that moment that something horrible had happened because Kean’s eyes were already becoming teary, and it seemed like he really wanted to say something, but words could not come out of his mouth.

As the phone call finally ended, Kean immediately fell to the floor. It was as if all his strength was gone. Ashley kneeled in front of him, held his hands, and asked him as she looked directly into his eyes, “Can... can you tell me what... what happened, babe?” She was stuttering because she did not think that it was the right thing to do (as she thought that earlier, Kean did not ask her but instead just comforted him), but she still asked him because she thought that she might be of help.

After a few seconds, Kean broke into tears and immediately hugged Ashley. Kean rested his face on Ashley’s shoulder while Ashley just hugged him as she rubbed his back.
