The sun was blazing when Karlos and Zenee decided to enroll Zyra in the elementary school near their residence. It was evident from the child’s face that she was excited about her new school, but there was also a bit of nervousness as she didn’t have any friends yet.

After Zyra’s enrollment, they took a brief tour of the school facilities to familiarize her on her first day. Karlos and Zenee showed her the canteen, restrooms, library, and Zyra’s classroom. They knew their way around the school since they had studied there before.

“Hon, let’s go to Bonie’s Coffee after this, okay?” Zenee reminded Karlos of their plan from the previous night. They intended to have a late lunch there because, despite being a coffee shop, Bonie’s Coffee also offered rice meals on the menu. Of course, they hoped that Zayden might visit or pass by.
