Vincent and Scott sat down in the palace, glad to be home safe and talking about what had happened earlier in the day.

Vincent stared at Scott. “Prepare for war. I doubt that boy will admit to being in love with Silver. She is stubborn and believes she can make him fall, but I sense a doggedness in the general as well. He likes her but won’t pursue his feelings.”

Scott nodded. “Exactly my thoughts. Didn’t they say he is friends with the alpha?”

“Yes. I can sense envy in that alpha of a thing.”

Scott laughed. “Alpha of a thing. You don’t like him.”

Vincent snorted, his eyes twinkling. “He is not exactly likable. Do you like him?”

“Vincent!” Silver screamed as she got to the palace, rushing down the horse, Mary on her trail. Alvin stopped his horse and looked around him, noting how big the area was.
