Chapter 69. Burning Eyes

I was taken aback by how hard the man was, but again, I had been warned beforehand, so yeah. He and his friends had their eyes locked on me, waiting for me to respond.

“Well, are you going to say something or—?” One of them said.

“You know what, forget this. This is why I don’t speak to anyone outside of the city but my family,” The former Alpha complained as he turned and started to walk away.

It was right there that I knew I had messed up. I needed to do something, and fast. This wasn’t just about me, it was about the pack and my birth town.

“I know what you did!” I shouted after him, and he stopped. I didn’t even think twice about the words, I had just let them out.
