“Bring him in,” My father’s voice rang through the office which was mine anyway. We had just flown in from Seattle and had driven straight to work because some things really needed to be tended to, especially why my brother was being so active in taking over my position.
“Nice to see someone actually came back after a long honeymoon without a wedding.” Archer sneered when we walked in.
“At least, some of us had a bit of a life break. You would need one too when your ass gets grilled out of a job.” Ryan retorted and I snorted a small chuckle.
Archer rolled his eyes, “Oh please. You would have to try harder. But first,” he turned to me, tilting his head to my office, “Your ass might just be grilled first.”
Ryan patted me on the back reassuringly while I gave him a small nod, pushing the door open to meet my father up standing with his back turned towards the window which depicted the city of New York from its highrise. I took a seat on
