Chapter 17. Occupying the Position of Secretary

Angela wore a straight and cold face as she entered the office. Many snide glances were directed at him, although the ridicule could no longer be heard because Regan's earlier words had silenced them all.

Angela no longer cared about all of them, including Rosie. Angela felt that Rosie was not a good friend for her.

Angela entered the room and went straight into her cubicle without caring about the people there who were looking at her.

"Morning Angela, want some coffee?" Erdy offered while approaching Angela's room.

"Ah, no, Erdy, thank you!" answered Angela.

"Tsk, after you met the director, you became arrogant and haughty, Angela. It's still early days, and you're still useful in his bed. But one day you'll be dumped by him when he finds another, prettier woman," Erdy said in a sarcastic and condescending tone.

Angela stood up from her seat. "Wow, Erdy, I didn't expect you to know the director so well!" Angela exclaimed, "No colder.
