Chapter 29. He Won’t Believe You

“Cristofer.”

“What’s up?”

“Someone called you just now, and I answered your phone.”

“Who called me?”

“Your assistant, Vincent.”

Hearing that, Cristofer asked with a hint of panic on his face, “What did he call me for?”

Acting like a spoiled child, Gretchen pouted and said, “I don’t know. He didn’t tell me. Maybe he has some trade secrets about your company to tell you personally.”

Cristofer patted her hand to comfort her and said gently, “Maybe he has something important to tell me. I’ll call him back now. Excuse me for a moment.”

“Okay. I’ll talk with Miss Hudson and wait for you here,” Gretchen said with a smile.

“Okay,” Cristofer said, then opened the exit door and walked away.
