Chapter 39. Jacqueline Saves His Life

Jacqueline’s body trembled with fear when the psycho woman took out her gun. “Amanda, stop this immediately. Do you want to spend the rest of your life in prison?” asked Jacqueline, distraught and panicked.

“No, I won’t stop. How dare he do this to me? Do you think you both can get away with this? I won’t let you both live if I can’t marry you, Gilbert,” she yelled like a maniac, pointing the gun at Gilbert.

Gilbert’s heart constricted with fear. This woman could do anything. Why weren’t the police arriving? “Drop the gun, Amanda. Let us talk this out,” coaxed Gilbert.
