Jackson's POV

I sat quietly in my private jet as it soared toward the Philippines, cruising above clouds I couldn’t even appreciate. The hum of the engines filled the cabin, but inside me, there was only silence. I had some business to handle, nothing new, but my thoughts weren’t on deals or contracts. They were on her.

I could’ve told her I was leaving, but she’s still furious with me. And to be honest, I didn’t know how to start that conversation. What would she be doing right now? Was she still stewing in anger? Was she crying? Or maybe... she didn’t care at all.
